Film Review: A Place In Hell (2015)
A Place in Hell, deserves a place in your horror library. There is a great balance between horror and humor with a 1980’s feel. It’s a campy slasher romp within a serious slasher movie, and director David Boorboor knows where to draw that fine line. It’s fun to watch a bunch of bumbling film students stumble over each other as they create a horribly bad movie, only to be picked off one by one by a real serial killer.

A frightful tale finds apt backdrop - in Glouco
I'm on the set of a movie called A Place in Hell. And it's frozen over. "We had 12 inches of snow the first day of shooting," director David Boorboor says. The Voorhees resident, 40, is also the writer and one of the producers of this indie movie, which tells the creepy tale of a serial killer, a student film crew, and a dogged - make that obsessive - detective.
On The Set of A Place in Hell
As a lifelong movie fan, I always thought there was nothing like the thrill of seeing certain movies for the first time. That feeling of anticipation as the studio logo comes up is intoxicating, especially if it’s a film that you’ve really been looking forward to. This past Christmas season, I experienced this feeling at American Hustle and The Wolf of Wall Street. I recently visited the set of A Place in Hell, an “SAG ultra-low budget” horror-thriller currently being filmed at Creamy Acres Fright Farm in Mullica Hill, NJ.
